Kat often tells people that she had to grow up tough and bad tempered due to living with so many older brothers. She tells this lie because she's too embarassed to tell them the truth . . . she grew up tough and bad tempered because she only had one weakling younger brother to use as a punching bag instead of all those big burly imaginary ones. To make up for this lack of close family members to assert her womanly aggression on, she began to seek out various social events in which she could get away with beating up on people (mostly guys, of course) under the guise of getting to know them better.
The only thing that saved her from becoming nothing more than a common schoolyard bully was stumbling across that most magical of social events . . . role-playing games! There, she found that her gender was like a universal pass to have guys not only let her kick their butts (both in and out of the game), but have them come back asking for more without fail! It was a facinating experience for Kat, and one that she came to appreciate more and more as she came to realize that she actually enjoyed the creative processes involved in playing RPGs. She learned, in time, to use all her weapons - both figurative and literal - to full advantage when progressing through the gaming sessions.
Sadly, her overly aggressive tactics alienated her from every gaming group in the city as they gradually caught on to just how homicidal she truly is. Lucky for her that her brother Mouse just happened to find his way into a whole new gaming circle for her to join and terrorize, neh?
